The 'package' is not serious: they are requering the applicant to pre pay the tickets (reimburse only up to 1000 USD) and meal/hotel expenses on the candidate.
This could give a figure on how the pilot will be treated once sign the dotted line...
Does they think there are such a lot of type rated, in excess of 10,000 hr command time captains crazy to join them available?
It is at least doubtful they will get enough quality applicants with such a joke...

the jet show is run by an leave of absence AUSTRIAN AIRLINES manager!
AUSTRIAN AIRLINES is just getting rid of their old pilots (50+) offering them a golden handshake by paying them up to 500.000.-Euro!!!
so jet airways has now to offer peanuts, because this guy does not want to run into troubles by making to good offers to the pilots. he has learnt from the past!!

I am hearing a lot of negatives about this guy at JetAirways. If they are short pilots and in need why are they treating everyone like ****.
Does the pilot group as a whole not have any power to get rid of this guy?
I dont mean the contract guys--but the local guys who seem to dislike him just as much. The 6/1 roster I have heard about obviously leads to major crew fatigue--a recipe for disaster at some point.

I am hearing good stuff about Spicejet, a much smaller player. Any expats on here that can shed more info on their terms, bases, rosters etc would be apreciated. Some of us are considering Jet/Spice/Kingfisher.

Cheers!

To answer Farrari's question. Jet Airways T7 300 ER uses the GE 90 115B engine. In fact all T7 LRs & ERs come with this engine as O.E. Just finished my upgrade as F.O. on this aircraft at Alteon, Singapore a month ago.

who tells you that pilots are leaving jet every day, werner is on the 340/330 fleet . thay have hired a malaysian 777 driver to head the fleet for now. the interview is basic and the sim check is on a 737 , the guys are very helpful and the check is also very basic , they just want to see the 10000 hrs that you wrote in the applications are true or not.they are however getting retired guys from delta , continental etc .oh also some boys from korea etc.
the airline is expanding so a few areas are grey. they are not mistreating the pilots in my opinion.
cheers

Quite right Speedwotten, some like strawberries do not travel well. Its best that they stay at home and let others who choose to, face the challenge.

speedtwoten's got some major issues...im not talking about his grasp of the english language either. Hey, who does your RT for you?

There must be something you like about india, since you continue to live there?? OR are you one of the d.e.s.p.e.r.a.t.e pilots??? OR you aren't welcome back in your own country...hmmm. I could go on but I won't.

PEACE,
