JSP 752 (Triservice Regulations fore Allowances) was updated to dii Version 5 on 18 Dec 06.
The biggest change is the incorporation of a new Section 13 to Chapter 10, setting out the rules for the new Operational Allowance.
Other snippets include:
Incidental Expenses: You can now claim Hotel Internet Access costs in lieu of a daily phone call home and a daily newspaper (03.0113).
Subsistence: The drink with meals is now defined as alcoholic or non-alcoholic with Dinner, but non-alcoholic only with Lunch and Breakfast.
(03.0118).
Specific rules for IE for Service personnel admitted to hospital (can include extra items and receipts are not required).
Eligibility for one parent to claim a journey/subsistence to visit a child in hospital.
GPC Cards: Can be used to pay Subsistence costs, but only if the individual card holder is specifically authorised so to do. DS and NS costs may be paid, but not IE (03.0170). Thinks - if I pay my hotel (including meals) bill with a GPC, but the bill includes internet costs (which are IE), where do I stand? Do I have to pay the hotel cash for those first, and obtain a separate receipt? There are more questions than answers (I am sure that is the title of a song from the dim and distant past).
Some other minor changes.
