Hi Folks
I've always been interested in working with the AAIB at some point in my future career. Obviously I don't mean the near future, I was thinking towards the end of my flying career.
What is ACTUALLY involved in the job day to day??
Also the latest advert an the AAIB web site says "You will be provided with the opportunity to maintain you ATPL..." How do they do this, is it as per the guys who are Flight Ops Inspectors??? ie They are fly part time with an airline and change type from time to time.
I think it would be excellent working to help make the industry safer for everyone, and also understand a bit more about how the human mind works in times of stress. If anyone has any info I'd love to hear your feedback.
Regards.
Eff Oh. :)

Yes. I believe some AAIB inspectors fly for airlines in the same way as CAA staff.
