Hi, I have been offered a job as a first officer on a Hawker 400 in the Middle East if I arrange a type rating. Has anyone experience on the Hawker who can suggest where best to do the Hawker Type rating, or any Hawker guys who can answer a few questions?

FS is it I think. Wichita is the usual place until Farnborough is up and running. What are your other questions?

Just a suggestion it is possibly wise to check which Hawker is being talked about.
There seems to be confusion in this thread as to whether the aircraft is a Raytheon Hawker 400XP re-badged from the Beechjet 400, or a Hawker HS125-400 (Fanned or otherwise).

I strongly suggest you CAE Emirates in Dubai. They are TRTO- UK certified. Initial should be 3 weeks and about 28.000 USD.

Go ahed with questions.

Hi,

I just don't know nothing about the HS125-800 and I have make up my mind..........quickly......... so could anybody tell me the what's the difference between HS125-800 and HS125-800XP ? Is it the same rating ? Can you confirm that CAE Dubai is the place to go for training ?
What can I excpect on the market with some F/O hours on the 125-800?

Recently completed the HS 125 Type in ORL at Simcom, it is a very complete course and found it to prepare me very well for flying the 800 XP. Although the course is 800A they do the XP differences and although the sim has a honeywell suite, I did the Pro 21 when I got to the machine I was to fly. The price was WAY below that of FS or CAE for the same type. I could not justify the extra $10K to go to one of the above mentioned. At the end of the day, I did an FAA certified course, got a HS125 type on my license and was well prepared when I got into the aircraft for the first time.

Is this the position advertised on climbto350 for a 400 Viper in Baghdad ? If so, good luck and watch your back.

That's nothing. I thought the thread title was "Hawker Screwing".
