I'm from the Seattle area so commuting to Vancouver would be a lot more appealing than LAX or SFO. Does working for Cathay Pacific provide opportunities for expats to work in other countries or is Hong Kong the only exception? Are pilots compensated differently depending on which country they are awarded? Finally, I've heard that while working/living in Hong Kong you aren't obligated to pay local taxes, would that be the case in other bases outside of your own country?
