Loganair are always interested in type rated Saab 340 pilots.
They operate out of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen as a British Airways franchise.
Definately worth a call.

I spoke with one frined from SLovenia where Adria is from...mission impossibile, forget it:ugh: :ugh: . It is easier to get in America Airlines, BA, LUfthansa or to fly space shuttle to the space....you must be citizeen, fluent speaker, not more thatn 30 with no more than 350 hours, had to have the one and only reckognized faculty finished and to know a lot's of people. Lines of military pilots vaiting to get in, they althoug take some new guys one month ago... And yes, if you want to try, the pilot sindicate will not let you in unless you do not meet all of thosse and some more things... They fly cargo though with them..

good luck:)

I have a friend who is flying in Adria...( SAAB340 )

He is not citizien of slovenia...
he is more than 30
he has more than 350h
he doesn´t know nobody in there
he is not military...

¿?¿? I dont know who tell you but is not really true, at least in this case...

anyway he is contract by PARC.... so may be that´s why!!!....

.... LOGANAIR.... I have the Type rating and hours on SAAB340 and never call me not even for interviews... is only for locals???(UK)???

Yp, that' s the way...he is there by the contract, experinced individual who is helping to settle down Adria's operation on Saab340. You must know that Adria didn't flew many years with turboprops, this new piece was chalange for them and they are just helping them. Right now there they are taking 15 new guys, and you can belive me that thesse foreigns will not stay for long....it is actualy bad becasue there in SLO are many pliots who would like to get in on any way, enevn on contract, and this is one of the reasons that they will say by by to them...because they are afriad that people could catch them on this fact...

Hi everybody,

I actually have 260TT and I'm doing the type rating of the Saab 340 without hours, only the base check, and I will finish at the end of this month.

I will try LagunAir but I think that it's so difficult, only people with contacts, I would wish not to be like this, but I'm not sure.

I think this thread it's putting interessting, please keep discussing about it.

Please learn to spell..its loganair not Lugunair..im not sure which is more annoying, your spelling or the fact that your buying your own type rating.Stop ruining the terms and conditions of the aviation industry

I think you'll find he was talking about the spanish airline Lagun Air, not the scottish airline Logan Air. They both fly 340's:ugh:

Hi bantermanter before writte something wrong here, please be sure about what the people is talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :=
I'm not sure which is more annoying, you arrogance or you ignorance.
And if I have to buy my type rating it's because is the only way to find a job at this moment. I woluld like to find a job without to but at the moment it's almost impossible.

Quazz you are right, I'm talking about LAGUN AIR, spanish airline that flyes the Saab 340.
