Uganda will relaunch a flag carrier on Monday 27 November with teh firdt flight departing for Nairobi.
Operating as Victoria Air International, the carrier replaces the defunct Uganda Airlines which was liquidated early 2001 after a botched attempt at privatisation.
The carrier is headed by ex SAA chief Mike Myburg as CEO and former British Airways Uganda Area Manager Declan Peppered as Commercial manager.
Innitial destinations include Nairobi with a twice daily service, Johannesburg X3 and Juba in Southern X3.
Declan says the major challenge for the carrier will be to instill confidence in the market which has witnessed two false starts in the past 4 years.
