Any of you Gents find it advantageous to have a
VP-C or VP-B license for your contracting jobs out there.
Or is the hassle not worth the ...

Thank you

It works the other way round, you have to get the contract first. You can't get the validation without a letter from the operator saying they need you. When it arrives the Bermudan one is valid on all VP-B reg aircraft of that type, but the Cayman one lists the individual aircraft you're validated on!
All designed to make life difficult for us contract guys!:ugh:

There is nothing advantageous having a Bermuda or Cayman validation, only if the aircraft you are going to fly is so registered. It used to be very easy but they have tightened up considerably. A lot of operators are moving away and it is going to increasingly more difficult for a European VPB/C owner to operate within the EU.

You don't need an operator's letter to get a Bermuda validation. Just tell them you want to be a freelance.
In my opinion it's worth spending the 100$ or so to get the validation so you're ready in case someone needs a pilot asap.

Why is there a problem to operate a VP-B/C aircraft in Europe. It just needs to be imported to an EU country .
