search on this forum for paramount a fair amount of detail to read.

Some of the things posted about paramount is fairly old. They had more than their share of problems during their initial start up days. But i hear they had a management shake up recently and the pilot T & C are better but not perfect.anyways i dont think there is the perfect airline to join out there.
There is always something to bitch about.

Any pilots or anybody remotely connected with paramount could give updated info on work conditions, lifestyle etc etc please do so.

oh by the way here is one detailed thread about paramount'

:}:ugh::ugh:Oh Yes. I have had talk with several friends in PA and they all say that whatever has been posted in this forum is still true. Mr.T appear to be a cool cucumber and main culprit who sets his employees against each other. He is a fourth generation entreprenuer who knows nothing about airline. He is better of running his textile mills. He is a rich kid who has inherited quite a fortune from his fore fathers and still thinks he is a monarch. He makes everyone from GM to office boys to slave for him. Any one carrying his travel bag, and coconuts are his favourite. From what i have head, he keeps changing his decisions. Sits in Madurai and operates while all other staff of his are put in CO Chennai. Every single decision is made by him. His wify manages In Flight magazine.....:-)

There is no full time CEO. There was one expat CEO who was tricked and sent back home in 3 months time (all work and no pay makes jack a dull boy). Then the churn at their leadership team is testimony to this. His entire HR team has bailed out except for one or two junior kids.

No ground equipments, no career planning, no performance appraisal, no funds from the banks, no clear vision and mission and the list goes on and on.

EE are kicked at the drop of the cap. They have a fast TAT on EE exit.

The expat Engineers and Pilots are a frustuated lot and are waiting for one good opportunity to come by their way from another airline.

In short its comedy of errors.

Page me to get to know more .....

I also understand that Mr. T is closely related to Palianappan Chidambaram, the Union Finance Minister. Could explain a few issues.

:ouch:This cool cucumber Mr T of paramount claims he is related to Minister Chidambaram , i did extensive research & wish to confirm he is int related to him.
This guy Mr T has a habit of throwing names & getting away.
Mr T has a serious credibility problem & what he says is no truth many times.
He has got funding from a Bombay firm & has lost all the money on filling fuselages & on empty seats !!!
Also spent too much on catering ( the other story is Taj did not get paid for the food they provided ) another cool do by MD Paramount.

with the merger of Deccan with Kingfisher , 90 % of the market is in the hands of the big three AI/Jet & KF .
These small players dont even have a fighting chance to survive.
Paramount made some empty noises of buying out Go Air , then Spice .This was a substance less call ,he neither had the money nor the strategy to do this. This talk vanished in thin air after a few days.
Now they are struggling for survival ,rumour in the finance markets are that they are loosing Rs 2 crores a month !!
How long can this go ?
On a broader picture the whole industry lost Rs 2500/ croreres lasy year ie 2007.
The king Of good times alone lost Rs 577 crores :ugh:as per news paper reports,he can earn in boose & loose it in the air !!
What will others do ?

I don t want to sound skeptical , yet i must be real
Indigo will blend with the skies & diappear
Go Air will go away
Paramount will take a parachute & jump off the business
Spice will taste good & stay in business
This will come true in 2009 if not earlier, but sure to happen:confused:

:O the latest on paramount is they are in arrears of salary to some of their non essential staff such as drivers & cleaners
