Hey All, I was walking out of uni and just caught a glimpse of a plane landing at filton, the tree blocked it so much i couldnt tell what it was, but it looked fairly chuncky, and made a fair ammount of noise on landing...
Anyone know what it was?

Is that airband radio shop still at Filton? Cant remember its name.

Thanks for that, it looked like a 747, i should learn to trust my eyes more. I didnt know 747's landed at Filton. I am guessing that the runway there is longer than it seems...

No it isn't. Can't remember what it is now but it has not been there for several years now.

I think it was called Lowes and they left a few years ago now
Runway length ? ......
I think it's 8,094 feet or 2,467 m? (09/27)
