REMINDER 1: BEFORE YOU POST
REMEMBER THE SITE RULES (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?p=3526602): You can 'refresh' your minds with that link.
The chances are, unless something is really new, that it has been posted before or there are similar topics. We have made an 'INDEX' page which takes you to some of the common topics on this forum. CLICK HERE (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=251287) to check before posting and put your post in the appproriate thread if you can.
Do NOT be surprised/annoyed if a post which should be in one of these areas is 'modded' into that area. It probably means you have not read Reminder 1.:)
Mods sometimes do not or cannot leave re-directs for moved posts or threads. If a post or thread appears to have 'vanished', try searching for recent posts under the appropriate user name using the 'Search/Advanced' facility. (See Reminder 5)
It is going to take a bit of time to settle down, but hopefully it will cut down on the number of repetetive topics we get. Please be patient.
REMINDER 2:
Forum policy is to block ANY links to commercial sites (with discretionary exemptions from on high, of course!). This includes 'copyright' on photos which link 'commercially'.
Please find another way to post without using such, or PM/Email us for permission to use such.
Otherwise posts will be 'PPruned'.

Following some juvenile posting on a go-round thread, it is worth pointing out the following:-
This forum is somewhere where we do not discourage people from asking 'simple' questions.
If this offends you, do NOT get involved in the thread.
Those making juvenile replies which do not help the thread will risk anything from post deletion, being blocked from the thread up to being blocked from PPRune.
IF YOU HAVE A BLEAT ABOUT THE WAY A THREAD HAS BEEN 'MOVED' OR EVEN A MOD COMMENT, PLEASE DO NOT WHINGE ON THE FORUM. IT IS NOT APPRECIATED AND MAY WELL RESULT IN ACTION AS ABOVE. INSTEAD, PLEASE PM THE MODS. THIS GOES ANYWHERE ON PPRune

PICTURE POSTING on PPrune - MAXIMUM IMAGE SIZE 800x600 pixels please!

USE OF SEARCH
Following much wailing and gnashing of teeth I should point out that the default search period for 'Basic' Search is 1 month. If you wish to search further back than that, search for posts by users or search specific forums, 'Advanced search' is the place to go. This has a default search period of 'any date', but this can be changed if you wish. It should also be noted that the minimum length of a word for use of 'search' is 4 characters. eg ILS RVR QNH will not work.
PLEASE do use SEARCH or at least the index page before you post if you think there is a chance the topic will already have been covered. If you have 'LOST' a post, first try a search by username or click on the username in any post and select 'find more....' BEFORE you whinge on the forum about it 'vanishing'.:)
