I suspect the photo has been pulled (too many hits perhaps? ;) )
A Boeing 707 landed today.

A Boeing 707.....BLIMEY:eek:

I guess it must be on delivery to Silverjet.....!

Most of the younger folk at the airport have probably never seen such a vintage jet airliner. The last one I saw was at Shannon last year, N88ZL. Just think, they chopped one of those up at Cosford earlier this year that was on display outside a museum!

Why do such rare beasts always land on 26, so not over my Bear Palace? Time to complain to the authorities about global warming and the lack of easterly wind!

Which one was it out of interest (sharpening my pencil, getting my ruler and Civil Aircraft Markings out)?

Ok try this link http://alexpeake.fotopic.net/p35503649.html. If this goes down try going in via the index at http://alexpeake.fotopic.net/c1070186_93.html where there are 4 photos of the 707 taken at Luton

From another website. Spot the easyjet hangar from 5000ft http://doug3658.fotopic.net/p35487566.html I can see why the council is not happy. Looks like the side paneling was still waiting to be painted in this photo.

I don't know what they're bothered about. Should prevent a few zone infringments I reckon. :)

Hello!

Just out of interest, who was it bringing in?

Wasn't that the same 707 that had Bon Jovi on it when it overran at Vancouver?

Best Wishes

Adam

Hi there,

I took those shots. Thanks for linking them :ok: .

N88ZL arrived from Brunswick, North Carolina. It departed 5 hours later to Paris Le Bouget; no idea who was on it though.

Yesterday afternoon an unknown easy jet made emergency landing after a go around at Luton around 1700 time. Control problems reported. Was inbound from LTFJ. Had tech problems out there hence a 2hr+ delay.

Control problems was the reason given. Anymore news on this anyone???
