Hello All, I was wondering if someone might point me in the right direction to research the service history of specific RAF Auster Mark III's using the RAF serial number as a starting point?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You could always try the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop as they have the records of the AOP Squadrons the Austers were used on.

and then write to them at this address
Air Historical Branch (RAF), Building 266, RAF Bentley Priory, Stanmore, Middlesex, HA7 3HH
and they will send you a photo copy of the aircrafts record card showing which units/squadrons it served with.

I also suggest you try the Auster Club, they are brilliant at giving people all the information they want. Their database on all marks of the Auster are second to none.
