Hi,

I was speaking to Geoff Worrall last night, and he advised me that Walter Gibb of Bristol Aircraft fame passed away recently.

If memory serves me correctly he flew nightfighters during WWII and after the war Walter was the Co-Pilot on the maiden flight of the Brabazon and also tested the Britannia. He also set a World Altitude record in the Olympus powered Canberra.

If anyone has seen an obituary, i would be greatful if a copy/link could be forwarded to me

If this is so - he will be sorely missed, beeing a Bristolian myself and having met the great man on several occasions he was a true Gent. You could'nt wish to meet a nicer person. Sad to see another of my childhood hero's passing away.

God rest his soul.
RIP

Whispering Giant.
