For all you Aussie expats working in the region, was wonderng if you can provide information on obtaining the right to live and work in the region (from the various countries you work in), how to go about it, best contacts you know of. Also companies to hit up or places to go for work and advancing your career. I`m just a bottom feeder so don`t worry about me coming and competing for your current job.

Rights? Don't be naive, there are no "rights."

Usually the company sponsors the work permit if you meet the requirements. Requirements vary from country to country, but basically you have to be filling a space that cannot be filled locally.
