Just found out I was successful in my first interview in NewYork and now heading for Hongkong in about 6-8 weeks for interview # 2. I just wanted to thank everybody on this site for all the great info.
Any tips for the second interview and also what sim are they using. I've been flying glass for the last 6 years and if I have to fly the 200 sim I better prepare myself for it.
Thanks again

Lots of recent second interview info here. They will tell you what sim in the interview package you will receive in the mail.

MD11FO -- Congrats on the ticket to HK! What was your opinion of the 1st interview? My husband's is Tuesday afternoon -- tough draw on timing, but he's been prepping like crazy! Any intel is greatfully appreciated.

All the gouge that is around is pretty good. However I do think that the most important aspect of the interview is the H.R part. The best advice I can give is to relax(easier said then done), and be yourself. You can't know every tech question and it's O.K to say " I don't know"
I hope this helps.

Play very gentle with HR. They have an enormous amount of power (more than the pilot side of things they say...). "I don't know" is the best piece of advice you will take into the interview. Don't be afraid to play it if you need to.

All,
Thanks so much for all of your help! From finding materials to answering questions.:D :ok:

My husband had his first interview a wk ago tomorrow and felt very strong about the HR portion...was interested in how I ('da wife) felt and how supportive I've been/feel about moving/HK etc. They also

The tech side was pretty rough - they wanted to delve further down than just the basics of a topic ie. how does a typhoon form not just where/time of year.

When he has a minute, I will have him throw more on here for those prepping.
