Ok, I know it has been done before, about 12 months ago from my search.
What are people operating, looking at a C1/2. Got a tight boss no C3 for us. On a GLEX, any basic info on generic (laptops, like the new UPC's) or Aviation dedicated, already done some research, but want a ops point of view.

Thanks. GL

My first thought is that if your boss has bought a GLEX and won't pay for decent nav kit you have trouble ahead.

My second thought is download AC 120-76A off the FAA website www.faa.gov it is still full of useful information even if you are not on the American register.

My third thought is forget class 1 EFB’s you still need to print all your approach charts to be legal (even under FAA part91). Class 2’s fill the cockpit with wires, look messy and need approval for instillation.

Generic equipment will probably be too dim in the daytime and to bright at night. I also think they can only be classed as Class 1 EFB’s.
