Could be the `HS 146`....but I have a promotional sticker somewhere with this logo....I think its for the first attempt at getting the 146 into the air

There again it could be the 4 engined herald.......I think I am right in saying at least one was air tested before HP `discovered` RR Darts and halved the number of required power plants........

Just had a look at the Trident cutaway. Can someone explain what "Kucheman wingtips" are please? Never heard the term before. Tried a Google search but doesn't yield much.
Thanks.

primereamer: Kucheman was a 20thC aerodynamacist who promoted the advantages of swept wingtips; presumably the Trident's ones followed his principles.

Bigt: actually the error is rather more fundamental than those which you suggest and, yes, I believe at least one 4-engined Herald made it to flight test before the "Dart Herald" was adopted as the production version.

The drawing of the MDD Series 80 is actually a drawing of the Foker F-28 Fellowship.:hmm:

Irishair was closest; it's actually a Fokker F100 drawing that is titled as "mdd-dc9-s80". Maybe if a FI person reads this thread they could correct it? They normally pride themselves on accuracy.......
