GIA? hope they can sustain it,because the acc-lgw has been fraught with problems.Thought they were about to have los-abv?
Delta good luck,it has been on the cards for quite some time, but they must be aware that there is only one good travel document screening company who charge between $15000-$20,000 per month. That's Glory heights.
Only two aviation security companies of any competent semblance in the country, also expensive.Delta had better come prepared to do it themselves in house or they will be sorry.
Ghanian Immigration runs the airport and are the most powerful facilitators of pax with irregular travel documents leaving Ghana and USA is a hot target along with some GCAA staff and ex GHACO staff.
That is part of GIA's problem at the moment apart from financial problems.

Delta should be warned that getting an aviation security license can take a year with even the most powerful friends, and trying to bring in proven aviation security companies is blocked by GCAA and National Security.Examples are Grays security who were supposed to represent SAA,the MENZIES/GAHCO joint venture, and the deportation of the expatraite manager of an airline going acc-jfk.
Acc is a difficult place to set up within aviation.
