Does anyone know anything about applying for jobs in the Head Offices of either Cathay or Dragonair? I work as a financial analyst (covering the transport/aerospace sector) in the UK and would love to get a job in corporate planning/acquisitions/strategy/finance for one of those 2. Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Apply for one in UK and try to move to HK on your Brit pay scale...seems to be modus oprandi for all CX management jobs.

Their HK website always has details for any jobs that are being advertised externally - there is also a function to be put on alert if any jobs come up in areas you are interested in. Corporate Finance would be the most likely entry point - CX doesn't do strategy, and planning is very much "in-house" - very unlikely to ever have a new recruit straight in there.

If you are still young - the other way in is to apply for graduate trainee - but unless you have HK right of abode, you need to apply for Swire graduate trainee (open to non-HK) and hope to be seconded to CX, not Papua New Guinea...
