Final Ansett Payout

I heard that there is a final payout due soon for ex Ansett staff. Apparently staff will get $75 mil and the guvament $200 mil. Bastards...:rolleyes:

Anyone know when this will be payed? I'm looking forward to some more cash. I've spent a big chunk of mine on booze and women, but most I've just sqandered.:zzz:

:= No Ralph. $75mil is the total payout to be shared b/w Govt. & staff IF pooling is approved.

Pooling meeting is 31st August...if approved, payment will be immediate.

PS. That amounts to 30% of what is currently outstanding!

GB. Yes I do. It went straight to the Govt. coffers to pay off the SEESA loan. Some mumblings about back into the tourism industry & other nonsense, but it basically boils down to the Taxpayers paid for the initial payout to Ansett staff & the Taxpayers & Ansett's Administrators paid it off through the ticket levy & asset sales respectively! (read; double dipping)
