EK Fares

Wife and daughter decided it might be an idea to experience a white Xmas and to visit friends in Zurich, Nice and Doha. Checking the airline web sites BA comes up with an economy fare of $(Oz)3,773 but EK $(Oz)12,279 ex Melbourne. Is business so good at EK that they need no more? I realise travel agent will do better than BA's web site offer - but still, EK. :yuk:

My daughter has just returned from a holiday in Dubai. The total cost of her air ticket with KLM (from MAN via AMS) plus 5 nights accomodation in a 5 star hotel was considerably less than the cost of a return air ticket only with EK.

Would appear that the days of cheap tickets with Emirates are gone. I wonder how it will affect their load factors long term.
