Good evening PPRUNE,
Between 13:30 - 16:00 today i witnessed a millitary jet (dark green) flying north-west over Westhoughton, Lancs. it was between 6,000ft and 4,000ft
It seemed to be heading for a 24R/L approach into MAN, but i cant confirm.

I left the tower at 1400 and we had no notification of ANY military flight. Two and a half hours is a lot of stooging around though :=

Something on a sight seeing tour out of Warton perhaps?

i was helping my farther re-slate a roof thats why!lol (honist)
There was a Nimrod MRA4 heading for Woodford sometime after 3pm.
Could this have been the aircraft?
