Whats the worst thing a passenger has said to you while flying ? I recall an EI flight recently where a pax told a member of CC that she looked "Rough". The CC was mortafied :\

Probably the thing that irks me most is pax moaning about coming in hard n high when on 73, trying to suggest 'that was dangerous'. Which just goes to prove they were utterly f***ing clueless.

If you think that's bad, you should try a busy day at baggage tracing. You'll learn lots of new exciting ways to insult people  .
Seriously, my ex-colleague is now cabin crew, and she said the insults you hear in the air is nothing compared to ones on the ground :\ .

Yup, the SLF. They do help pay our wages though...

Worst thing to me, as I stood all smiley at the closet door, was..."Where did you f'ing learn to fly? I thought the arse of the plane had come through the seat bottom. You weren't even straight. No f'ing wonder...." And off he went, shaking his head.

I didn't mention crabs or excess wind..., in case he punched me in the mouth...

Yes, they obviously didn't realise how much 'flair' you have for flying....

(Ok, I'll get my coat now....)

Hahahahah! I was just talking about this to some crew today!

They said they've been called the ''worst crew ever'', and nicely replied ''thank you, see you onboard again soon'',.

I remember when at EMA British Midland Commuter first became bmibaby, and our regular passengers saw us change from wearing very professional uniforms (ladies with hats & gloves, tied up hair) to wearing the red puffa jacket, green trousers & nasty t-shirts. I distinctly remember one passenger on the first Monday when it all went bmibaby, boarding a flight to a major European city, I think it was AMS or BRU and told me at the door "I'm sorry to tell you, that you look absolutely ridiculous in what you're wearing, and have no idea how you can have any pride in your job or self-respect wearing that." I found that particularly hurtful, I know he didn't mean for it to be a personal dig, but I took it very personally.

I think the best insult is businessmen with no maners, there is no please or thank you. It may just be me but i have been brought up to say thank you, not drop litter and say please etc. It's nice to be nice.

The worst insult I have had is when a pax turned up after the flight had closed and pushed back and I was closing up for the night. I explained that the flight had pushed back so I couldn't get him on it as it was no longer at the gate. I got called a f:mad: g c:mad: t and other variations on a theme. You should have seen him run though when I picked up the phone to call the police.:E

To be honest, you get so used to name calling and insults that it becomes water off a ducks back. I find we get more insults now that we have stricter baggage rules that we have to enforce.

But just remember....... if a passenger swears at you they verbally assault you, and that's illegal. If they make a complaint against you or have a go at you for whatever reason and they swear, they don't have a leg to stand on. That's your cue to walk away and refuse to deal with them!

That's why I called the police, I have no problem calling them out for verbal abuse and they are always really supportive of the airline staff.
