Dearest in the Lord,

This may sound strange and
unbelievable to you, but it's for real and true. On behalf of the
trustees and executor of St. George Roman Catholic Parish, wish to
notify you that late Sir. Dennis Thatcher, made you a beneficiary to
part of his WILL. He left the sum of One Million Pounds Sterling
(1,000.000.00) to your name in the codicil.

Being a widely travelled
man, simply you were nominated to him by one of his numerous friends
abroad that wished you good. Sir. Dennis Thatcher passed away
peacefully in the Lister Hospital London, after a short illness at the
age of 88 years. He was a businessman and husband to Margaret Thatcher,
the former British Prime Minister. According to him, this fund is to
support your activities and to help the poor and the needy in your
country. Please If you receive this mail and you don't have an idea of
what I'm saying, you are advice to reconfirm this information below so
that I will know if you are the right beneficiary of the WILL.

Best scams are the ones where they keep as many facts straight as possible. In this case, the Parish and Priest (http://www.stgeorge.rcec.london.on.ca/father_john_message.html) are true, they´ve just changed the postal address. 22 George Street is St James Parish (http://www.spanishplace.hemscott.net/), and its not Parish Place, its Spanish Place.

Still, a better try than most. The pidgen English is always a bit of a give away though....

Also check this guy's site - he's been persistently taking the royal michael out of these people for quite some time, using the name Gilbert Murray of Gypping in the Marsh and changing profession with each scamster - priest, clairvoyant, worm farmer etc. Each exchange of correspondence is listed.

Since WHEN has it been usual to place a full-stop after 'Sir'?
(OK, wiseguys, I mean in the MIDDLE of a sentence and in association with the name of the 'honoured'?)
