Pigboat...very decent of you.:ok: I have been absent because I find it takes a while to Google! (only kidding) :p

Since that thread a while back, I realised I hadn't had a go for a while...and when I did, it was well completed! I don't know if you've done anything different, but I found this one particularly hard.:ooh:

1st Aug 2006, 03:53
Hmmm..actually you could be right about the lyrics section being harder since we've decided to use any line in the song or chorus as a clue. It does open up more lyrics for us though, since with many songs the first line is also the song title. Good news for us, bad news for you guys. :E ;)

1st Aug 2006, 05:12
Thanks Pigboat - no excuses for not knowing the rules, one's grey matter is slowly devolving to a particularly loathsome form of mush, and such blatant inattention to detail willnot recurrrecurrrecrrcurr....
(slopes off to the fridge for some restorative Dom)
M :ok:

1st Aug 2006, 05:24
L4 Hurdy Gurdy Man - Donovan

T2 Jimmy Page? He was said to have played the guitar solo (tho' Mr. Page says he was somewhere else....)
T4 Mott the Hoople
T13 it's gotta be "Cat's In The Cradle"...??

Way to go John!

Reynolds, re Hurdy Gurdy Man. That's what I'd heard also, but apparently there's a whole lotta bad info out there about who played what on that song. Supposedly Jimmy Page and John Bonham were there, but here's what Clem Cattini, who was there has to say:

Donovan/Acoustic guitar
J.P. Jones/Arrangement, Musical Director and Bass guitar
Alan parker/Lead electric guitar
Clem Cattini/Drums

Romeo Delta

True, it's a good'un! :ok:

Saw them live on David Letterman here, though, and they weren't all that hot live. Some bands do well on Letterman, and some don't. Musta just been a bad day, 'cause the CD is nice.

Oh, and thanks for the points!
