Does anyone have any good 'spotter' gouge on differences between the 747 Boeing Converter Freighter, and the standard 400 Freighter?

How can you tell them apart visually?

Are there any major structural/systems differences?

Thanks in advance.

Yep it’s very simple to tell a -400BCF from a -400F. The -400BCF has the passenger -400 extended upper deck while the -400F doesn’t. There are many other smaller differences but that is the most obvious.

Unfortunately can’t give you any tech differences as I’m not rated on it.

The B(big)C(crap)F(freighter) is "A LOT LOUDER" than the standard 400F. Wanna know how I know, I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BCF cockpit conversation recently,

Capt; "Hey you wanna a sector"

FO; "What" ask for a vector?

RPRIC; "I am going to bed, wake me when you need me"

Capt&FO; "What"

Capt&FO; (To Rpic before he goes to those comfy bunks) "Hey can you throw on some coffee before you hit the bunk"?

RPRIC; "What"

The most obvious visual cues in identifying the BCF are:

1. No nose cargo door.
2. Stretched upper deck.
3. Window plugs where the cabin windows were.

Not all the 400F's have NCD's either right?

All CX ones have. Don't know if Boeing made any non-NCD variants.

Yeh right. The B Crap F also kept the passenger style bunks. Postively claustrophobic and dusty compared to the real freighters. Someone should put a noise meter on the flight deck. Then we could get rid of them due to the recorded noise levels. (yeh I know, wishful thinking)
