The waiting time at the moment is about 2 months, which is fine as you have time to do some proper preparations. Do a search and you will find a similar threads regarding the EZY workshop.
Good luck.

eJ allegedly need 400 pilots over the next year. I imagine that you'll be in in the time it takes you to write:

eJ allegedly need 400 pilots over the next year.

Is it due to the new arriving A319s or is that because many Easy pilots are just leaving easyjet for some other airlines ?

If you take away the "question mark" on your post, that is the answer!:)

Can anybody tell me if the DEP (737 rated myself) recruitment process is different to the TRSS guys?

What bases for the 73?

Any info welcome I have received a mail with a coming assessment

The process is the same as for TRSS and if you are on the 737 you can look forward to BFS, LTN or NCL. You can always get a foot in the door and transfer to the bus elsewhere within about 6-9 months though.
