Is it just me or is anyone else sick of hearing how our management need to communicate better, but never actually communicate better.
In his latest epistle Mr Ed (heee-haawww must be obeyed) spends most of his time identifying how bad our communications are and just what needs to be done (in his opinion). In stead of pontificating about the obvious, why doesn't he actually tell us something we want to hear, like when the poor bas**rds who have been shafted on the Bus upgrades are actually going to be treated fairly.
Same crap different year, if you ask me

What happened to the results of the 'Comunications Survey' sent out to us all about a year ago?

Agree with you Rus...

Effective comms would mean that that whatever was communicated would have the chance of being heard, perhaps even considered and, if appropriate, acted upon.

The problem is that approaching messrs Ed and Stealey we expect that they can relay the communication of concern to someone who may be able to do something about it.

The PROBLEM is that messrs Ed, Stealey (& the recently departed Leroy) CANNOT affect change, effectively impotent in their positions of apparent responsibility, merely complicit doing the 'companies will' (shafting to the rest of us).

So how do the communicate better? LISTEN perhaps would be a start, even engage the pilots in some sort of dialogue? Create a forum we could trust, something we could have some faith in?

Trouble is their deaf and have too much to loose by standing up for anyone but themselves... welcome to expatopia, welcome to EK. :ugh:

Their version of communication is "what they want you to hear" , not what you want to hear. Don't believe anything that comes out of TCAS's mouth he is a smug, devious lying toad, as opposed to Ed who is just a puppet

I think you're looking for trouble. If you want to do any job properly you may be putting yourself before a firing squad. Usually management nowadays spend their time issueing unpractical memos, procedures, self-addressed stuff, answering hundreds of short-worded emails, stinging reports, etc.. If and when they (the good managers) try to do a good job convincingly they are invited to quiet down diplomatically... or to say "bye" due to personal, family or health reasons:confused:.
