Silly question, as the rotors are such a large diameter, how would it land if they stuck in the 'foward flight' position. I understand that if one engine failed the other one is capable of driving both rotors, what if there was a seizure of one rotor, how controlable would it be.
Recently saw this at an airshow...certainly looked a bit wierd...

At a guess about as controllable as a helicopter with a seized main rotor?

Landing with the engines in the forward position is easy.

Simply deploy the "go go gadget", 20 foot long, telescopic emergency landing gear. :ok:

Landing in the rotors forward configuration has been tested but there are concerns that the blades, which are designed to shatter, as they can travel about 2.5 miles outwards and could seriously ruin someones day. This wouldn't be an issue with a stationary rotor but 2 spinning rotors could be interesting for the chap/chappess in the approach caravan.
