Everyone is at it now....

Sky is now offering broadband at 3 speeds/levels. Prices assume you have an existing Sky contract.

Basic: Free, £40 connection fee + £50 installation fee, download speed up to 2Mb and 2GB monthly usage.

Mid: £5 a month, £20 connection fee, download speed up to 8Mb and 40GB of usage.

Max: £10 a month, no fees, download speed up to 16Mb and unlimited downloads. Suited to people who frequently download videos or online gaming enthusiasts.

The problem for me is the same one as for the TalkTalk offer (with whom I am also an existing customer). I live in the countryside near an unbundled exchange and my max download speed is 1Mb. Worth looking at all the same. My present Metronet service costs me about £15 a month, so it still save money to switch to Max, and I´d get a new wireless router for free...

Just depends when they get around to my area. Probably never....

"Sky said its network covers 28pc of households in the UK and is expected to reach 70pc of households by the end of 2007.".... :suspect:

Has anyone signed up for the new sky broadband offer?
Has it been installed yet?
Any problems?
Thanks.
Ken.
