I've just come back from camping in the lakes, (UK) near Pooley Bridge, at the North Eastern end of Ullswater.
Shortly before going to bed last night, I saw a Military Carrier of some description, (Mil a/c aren't really my area) flying abouts 1/200 feet above the water, heading towards Penrith. I was just wondering what it was.
Though during my stay in the lakes -as always- there's been quite a display of low-flight, including what looks to be a re-painted splitfire, (don't know if that makes any sense...) doing a semi-barrel roll down the North side of Hellvellyn, along with a couple of what appeared to be vintage jet fighters.
Good place for low flight though.
