Heard the other day that Virgin were on the brink of cancelling it's 380 orders and replacing them with 330's. Seems unlikely, but it did come from VS crew (so it's bound to be reliable...)
Anybody able to shed any further light on this?

That’s a huge reduction in passenger carrying capability! I agree, to me it seems a tad unlikely – but stranger things have happened. I would have thought if anything, the 777-300ER or the 747-8i (which is now under consideration for a stretch I understand!). Its been discussed previously, do a quick search and you’ll find a fare bit of discussion on Virgin and the 380.

Airbus are going through a problematic period at this moment in time, the longer this period runs will give Boeing an easy time to sell/place aircraft as its sees fit to look after its own interests for the short/med and long term.

I seem to remember Boeing sold a lot of 777s to SIA and took some brand new A340s in part X.(poss 10 A340s).
