Woodford Airport and Helicopters

Tried a search on t'internet for this and it proved unsuccessful..so thought I'd ask the enlightened!

Is Woodford Airport still operated by BAe Systems? Also, is there a helicopter presence on the airport i.e. training and/or charter?

It would appear that BAe do still own Woodford, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity there other that the Avro Flying Club!

There is a flight instructor who occassionally operates on Woodford in r22, r44

If you call the tower on 0161 439 3383 im sure they will pass on his number alternatively pm me and i will pass it on to you

you can only fly in to use this field and you have to be a member. there is no public access
