Hey guys? Just studying for the interview and came across something. Whats a CCQ? In the cathay gouge book it says career progression---

747 or A340 SO then A330 CCQ??? then Junior FO


CCQ???? WTF!

i believe ccq = cross crew qualification which means as a A340 SO you'll get the A330 endorsement too which isn't much on top of the A340. you 'll fly both A330 and A340 for a few years until JFO upgrade... anyone know if more training is required for the A340-600 and are there SO's which fly the A330, A340-300, -600

-600 differences course takes one day. You'll normally do the differences course after 2 - 3 months on the 343, and then CCQ after about a year. You'll then be qualified on the 330, 343 and 346. Hope that clears that one up!

wouldn't worry about the A340-600 CCQ. The CX jets are leased from ILFC and have a finite life in the CX fleet.
Expect an official announcement soon. Yep an extension on the lease!:eek:
