Hi,

I will be moving back to Europe in the near future and I am looking at my options flying helicopters. I have a FAA ATP-H with +4000 hours PIC (mostly VFR) and would like to know what jobs are available on a 28/28 in Africa or the Middle East so I could commute back to Europe on my days off. Any info on things to do and not to do? Thank you for your help.

Fly safe!

Escravos/Chevron in Nigeria is the place you want to be boyo! Sometimes it might be 3 on 5 off if you hour out. That way you do not have to do laundry even. OLOG, A Bristow Group Company will fix you right up!

SASless,

I don't know about the 3 on/5 off scheme because basically it's 28/28 unless they ask you to stay longer to fill in for somebody.

To 135merc:

The flight department as well as the engineering side is top notch...good group to work for!!!

How many times you guys evacuated the place due to the locals occupying the place? Still the same lovely living quarters?

Hi there,

Chevron in Malongo/Cabinda in Angola has started a new contract (previously operated by PHI for 27yrs) in conjunction with LSG/EIMASA and Sonair. They operate the new Bell 427 and Bell 430 helicopters - VFR only! Total package = US$95000 - 15% Angolan tax. No other benefits or allowances - 28/28

Regards,

From somewhere else in West Africa

CJ
