Has anyone had problems signing into the new MSN Messenger.
Think it is version 8.0, just installed today.
Was good with 7.5 now it seems to be busy all the time.
Another new release problem from Mr. Bill perhaps?
Just so many lately we seem to want make a knee jerk reaction.
Maybe the ISP is too busy.
Gives me an error code of 81000304, (system too busy try later.)

Try restarting your computer. Worked for me!

Just tried, no joy.
Took my laptop out and signed in fine with the old 7.5 version.
Maybe just a hit and miss problem.

All back working properly now.
Maybe it was ISP in this area.

Yesterday evening MSN went TU, everyone signed out, people who were online were appearing offline but you could still talk to 'em etc. Happened to me and most people on my contact list.

I had the same problem, no matter what i done it wouldnt sign on, some m8s were back on but i wasnt able to, tried the lot, e-messenger old msn new msn, restart etc. Then researched alil into the error i was getting and sorta narrowed it down to some missing .dll that msn required, so got a bat file, ran it, sorted the .dll problem and hey presto onto msn, the error was along the lines of temp unavailable and 08003 .... something like that.

Anywayz ive attached the file, may be of use in future. Edit was hoping to attach file, but cant seem to

Same thing with Yahoo at around the same time - strange.

All of their authentication servers disappeared for about 12 hours so no logon possible but webmail was OK.

Get Messenger Plus+ from www.mess.be (http://www.mess.be) - some excellent add-ons for it too. I've been using it for years but can't use the current version because it needs MSN 7.5 and to get that you need Win XP which I don't have, I'm on Win 2000 Pro.

:ok:
