Air NZ first aid certificate

Have a friend been to second interview with ANZ and will need to get first aid certificate if accepted. Anyone know if basic first aid certificate for general public is acceptable or whether they require more advanced work place certificate. Obviously should have asked at interview but didnt realise the many different certificates available.

I suspect that they are referring to First Aid Unit Standards 6400, 6401 & 6402. (Comprehensive First Aid course available from the Red Cross, St John's etc., anywhere in New Zealand.) In my experience these are well recognised throughout NZ in a wide variety of industries.

However the more obvious answer is to ASK. It shouldn't be too hard to find out.

Indeed the obvious answer is to ask and all he was told was 'first aid certificate' without clarification of which type. While he is attempting to get further clarification I thought I would pose question on here in case anyone else has been to same NZ interview in UK.
