I was thinking since there are alot of 737-200rated pilots in this forum, especially from Bluetail. If they could be so kind to make some reccomendations out of experience on some good institutions preferably in the U.S where one with just over 300hrs of flight time could obtain a 737 type rating under two weeks on a budget of $9000 or there about.

A friend recommended Pan American in Miami. They seem to run a 'no frills' course that will get you sorted with the 737 type-rating for surprisingly little money, compared to what you pay for the average corporate jet type-rating, say. For instance, I did a Cessna Citation 500-series course with FSI that cost about $15,000 US all-in about 13 years ago. The 737 course is less than that today, I believe.

One big difference is whether you have already got a jet on your licence. If so, then you can do the check-ride in a level D sim. If not, you will still need something like 3 TOLs in an actual aircraft, which ups the cost considerably.
