Hi a quick question, if anyone has very mild astma would they still be able to obtain Class A medical certificate for a commercial airline pilot role, thanks.

Hi i have mild athsma and i passed.
The spirometry test is a bit difficult but you get 5 goes to get it right.
Wouldn't worry.

do you have a peak flow meter at home? If not you could buy one and check your readings. http://www.peakflow.com/top_nav/normal_values/index.html I did this as I had asthma as a child and wasn't sure. But I'm well within the limits.

As far as I know if you haven't had an attack in the last 5 years you're fine.

Sorry if I hijack the thread for just a moment or two, and I'm going to be flamed by the medically qualified replies anyway, so here's a statement and a question......
I know several people with mild asthma, and their breathing and general condition always IMPROVES with increasing altitude, i.e. in flight.
Why is it so?:confused: It's contrary to what would seem logical, but something that I have commonly observed.
