Just had call from friend who said he was travelling along the M5 and a small jet 'seemed' to somersault over the top of him.

Said he had to take avoiding action and that it seemed to be heading onto the motorway.

Reckoned he could see the pilots face, he was pretty shaken...

Anyone heard anything?

Friend who 'saw' the 'incident' is non aviation so he didn't really know much about the acft type.

He felt it passed over his car at about 20 feet.....

Haven't seen or heard anything on news so hopefully he was just dreaming it..!!

There were a number of low level RN Jetstream flights routing the M5 yesterday. The average motorist could well be spooked by the sudden appearance of the aircraft - they tend to take a hard turn around the J26 area and head off to Yeovilton for tea and buns.......
