Refer to NOTAM C0955/06
FAVG (Viginia Durban) Aerodrome closed to all Traffic due maintanance work on the Runway. Only emergency Helicopter traffic will be accomodated. No Fixed wing traffic can be accomodated.
Please note that the runway will be closed in total from 0000z on Monday the 19th of June till 2400z on Friday 23 June 2006
This is a whole working week.
please plan all flights accordingly so as not to use FAVG in this period.
Just for clarification this was requested to be published via the Standard 45 day Airac Cycle via the CAA but for some reason seems to have been ommited by them in the last AIRAC.

Do you know what kind of work they are doing down there?
In 1 month il flygin down there to take my CPL... so im curious if im gonna fly on a complete new runway :)

OK. I must confess. Did read the thread about Ray leaving nac on my late night scavenging hunt before I stumbled onto this thread. That place just makes me want to bite the tail of a hungry lion. Will take it out on them

I fly from Virginia (passed my ppl flight test last week:) :) :) ) ,not too sure what the situation is with the runway though.Wasn't planning to fly this week.

They put new tarmac on the runway and i think they extendet the backtrack thatīs aboute it

The runway is finished and operational now, I haven't had the oppertunity to use it since it was finished late last week because of the CPL written exams, but I should get my chance next week sometime.
