Just a note to start a bit of education that ALL the let downs at FAEL (East London) change with effect from 8th Of JUNE 2006
The bigest change is that the Initial Approach Altitude is now 4500ft.
The MSA have also all changed.
Please plan your flights (especially if IFR) accordingly
The reason for the increase in the Initial Approach Altitude is that construction will start shortly on a new Radar mast to replace the aging FAEL Radar. This mast will be higher than the old one as well affording better coverage
