Boeing racks up 34 plane sales
The company sells 22 777s, nine 737s and three 747s, most to unnamed buyers.

The Boeing Co. said Thursday it had received a major order for 777s from an unnamed buyer.
The news came as another airline, Cathay Pacific Airways of Hong Kong, announced it was adding two more 777-300ERs to an order for 16 it had placed last year.
And Boeing on Thursday also disclosed deals for nine 737s and three 747s with other customers that had asked to remain anonymous for competitive reasons.
All in all, it was a good day, said company spokesman Chuck Cadena. "We're all pretty happy."
There were no specifics available about the 20-jet order for 777s. But Boeing has been in negotiating potential 777 sales with a number of airlines.
Most notably, in March, officials with British Airways acknowledged the airline was discussing buying between 10 and 20 777s to replace some of its older 747s, with an eye to deliveries starting in 2008.
And across the globe in Australia, an executive with Qantas said in March that his airline was considering a deal to buy 777-200LRs from Boeing, and hope to make a decision by mid-year.
The 20-jet order is the first 777 sale of the year for Boeing. At list prices, it would be worth anywhere from $3.8 billion to $4.8 billion. However, analysts say the company has been giving discounts of about 30 percent on 777 deals.
The Cathay Pacific order is a follow-on to a deal the Hong Kong airline made with Boeing in December.
The airline had ordered 16 of the extended-range, 365-seat jets, and as part of that deal, had secured the right to buy another 20.
On Thursday, it exercised its rights on two of them. The planes will be delivered in 2008, the airline said.
The order would be worth more than $474 million at list prices. It's the largest order for widebody jets that Cathay Pacific has ever placed.
Boeing reported that it ended May with 349 net orders for the year, not including Thursday's Cathay Pacific deal.
Boeing sold 279 jets in the first five months of 2005, on its way to setting a one-year sales record of 1,002. However, Boeing officials and industry analysts say they don't expect this year to be as big a year as 2005.
