Due to be rolled out on the new B777 this month - June.
-Sea blue to Green on tail is now to be Dark Greenstone to Light Greenstone. Koru will have a solid tail and be more prominent.
-Air New Zealand titles will be dark greenstone not dark blue
-Pacific Waves will be one Pacific Wave and will be dark greenstone to pale greenstone top to bottom.
-Light grey underfuselage will become much less dominant - heard that very light greenstone might be the new colour for ALL the fuse, and that the engines might also be painted same! Like our new shirts!
Posted this in the plane-spotters threads but thort one of us may know.
Heard Air Canada's new scheme is close.:ooh:

Yep, Heard that there is new colour scheme, for all aircraft eventually, don't know the details but what you say seems to tally with what I heard, plus new look for the checkin areas and new stationary etc all along the greenstone theme of the "wonderful" new uniform.

Must be doing alright if they can change the colour scheme again!

I know, I know...if you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all!

Yes money came from the rape and pillage of Ansett.

Marvelous what you can find under the mattress.

Your turn will come ANZ, what goes around comes around

Tis natural law

Yes money came from the rape and pillage of Ansett.
Any raping and pillaging of Ansett was done by the owners (News Corp?) prior to Air NZ owning Ansett. Hell, News Corp and Co raped and pillaged Ansett New Zealand before they sold it, look how long that lasted after they sold it.

Are you trying to tell us that News Corp are paying for the new colour scheme etc. :hmm:

Whos going to paint the existing Aircraft..I know people in Quay St, Line Maintenance, Heavy Maintenance and they all say Company spirit is at an all time low. From what I've seen on the apron, some sort of low level industrial action even... Can't see anyone lining up to do extra work!

Oh and that post about Ansett..what an Ass. Who really laments the passing of that monolithic lame dog. AirNZ was sold a pup and the staff and equipment was bottom of the barrell. All you can blame AirNZ for was not doing due dilligence.

Okay, could you please explain how you came to the conclusion that I was bottom of the barrell? And please, don't hold back, your bravery behind the shield that is anonymity will protect you...:hmm:

you know..absolute max pay rates..minimum work done..union screwed down the company..if thats not you then you were in the minority

Absolute max pay rates....compared to what & can you give me some examples. Oh, and don't pull out that old Tech crew wages chestnut, if you can generalise then you must have all the figures handy. Please give me an across the board figure compared to, say...Qantas for example. Same industry & region.

Minimum work done....By who? All of us? Surely you jest? AN ran for years without a figurehead & it wasn't by the skill of the incumbent upper management I can assure you. If you are referring to our Engineers...well, you ought to know where I could go with that.

Union screwed down the company....Unions have a role in any industry and perhaps if you had experience with a strong one, you may have known that. Unfortunately, the stronger they get, the greater the dreams of grandeur some of their reps get. Bottom line though, Unions are only part of the award equation. (I can explain further if you like) Application of the agreements fell to the Union & company alike. If the agreement was not good for the company, then that is the fault of the company. The current Govt. here obviously thinks like you & have decided to change the balance back to the employers. This will, I imagine, be more suitable to your tastes.

Also, if you were at AN as long as I was, you'd have seen many occasions where the company came to my union (probably others too), cap in hand. Our conditions were eroded in the 17 years I was there, so whilst some unions, like the TWU, held a position of strength, once again we see where your generalisation is unwarranted.

Bottom line, the fault of AN's demise lies not with Unions, Employees, Govt., or lower Management, I see it lying with Executive Management & in particular Abeles & Murdoch (:yuk:). Cheap shots flying from both sides at our level serve no purpose except perpetuate the angst. The real culprits have moved on and are counting their $$$.

PS. Good on you for posting under your real name, you're a credit to us all....Mattyj...That's Eastern European right?

Well done, you've made the first step of the twelve step programme.

Now go have a beer. Whoops, thats three steps back on that other programme.
