Rumour has it that certain candidates undergoing sim training for recruitment into DJ, have or are receiving multiple attempts at passing the pay sim.

Is this the new policy or has this always been the case?

What is a "PAY" sim? Is that a sim with a coin slot like the little ones at the shopping centres? :)
Seriously though, what does the phrase mean?

Is resitting the "Pay Cheque" ride a new thing or case by case:confused:

Isn't there anyone out there who can shed some light on this?

VB simulator check captains are generous in this regard and have been since the airline started. Allowing for some candidates understandable nervousness at undergoing the acceptance sim check - especially having forked out lots of money for a type rating - the check pilots give them another go if the first test is marginal. I think that is a nice gesture.

People have failed and not been given the opportunity to resit, and others have failed and been offered another go after some re-training.

Much the same as every other airline in the world - people don't normally get one go and thats it unless there is a reason.

If you are genuinely trying your best and just fail on the day in all likelyhood you will get another go. If you go into the sim not knowing your stuff, and have obviously not been putting in the effort you may not..it all depends on the day.
