Does anyone have, or know where I can find some usable info and pictures of the Garrett 331-5 and 331-10 engines? Pictures of the internals would be quite helpfull!
By the way, what sort of airframes are these donks attached to besides conckies, MU-2's, 690's, CASA212????

The garret TPE331-10 engine is fitted to a range of agricultural aircraft including the Ayres thrush, PZL Dromader, FU-24 Fletcher, Beaver. The smaller variants were also on the Air Tractor, Weatherly etc.
On bigger twins, they are on metros and cessna Conquests as well I think (probably wrong).
I will try and post a picture here of one attached to an Ayres Thrush (thanks to airliners.net)

Hi Penny,

Honeywell have some info on their website which may be good if you're looking to buy one!
www.texasturbines.com/otter/images/TPE331-10.pdf (http://www.texasturbines.com/otter/images/TPE331-10.pdf)

The Cessna Conquest's (C441) use -8 engines and Metro 23's use -12 engines. I'm not sure who use -5 and -10 engines, maybe a Metro 2? I have some general info including internal pictures on a MSWord document, send me an email and I can forward it on to you if you like.

I believe Metro II use the -10 engine.

As for the Cessna Conquest, they came out with -8 engines, but there is an option for the -10 engine which is very popular.

Jetstream 31 32 41, piper cheyenne..anything where the co gets out after the pax and spins the props ( apparently stops the drive shaft from bending due differential cooling)

Also has something to do with the compressor seal integrity and preserving nozzle efficiency as per Metro AFM.
