From AMEInfo:
A total of 15 bids have been received for a consultancy contract for the airport project at Sohar in Oman, the Oman Daily Observer reported. The winning firm will prepare a detailed master plan taking into account future growth of the airport and associated facilities over the next 30 years. The airport will be designed to handle the world's largets commercial aircraft such as Boeing 747s and Airbus A380s
Another airport in such a relatively small (but crowded?)area... The Southeast (Sur?) would probably deserve one due to the increase in tourism and the up-market quality real estate projects in the area. The road system isn't the most adequate at all and the rough terrain doesn't help either. Just a thought...
