Hi Guys,
will be off soon to DFW to do a Challenger 300 rating. Seeking advise on A/C, training, facilities, Hotels etc.
Was told, training is pretty hard - true ? (just 15days ainīt long for such an airplane?)
Never used a Collins FMS (just Universal and Global) any tricks/tips/etc?

Thanks
The dude

Don't get you knickers in a knot. The AC is fairly simple (DC only) with mechanical ailerons. The course is quite interesting and I would stay in Grapevine at one of the Hilton properties. As for the FMS; no big deal. Keep it simple at first and time will take care of the rest. Best advice is to keep your feet in play during any SE overshoots. Can be a handfull of fun.

Red Mud has it about right, Collins system is not up to the honeywell epic or derivatives, but is quite adequate, and do keep those feet active, this is a very Rudder driven aircraft, rudder trim is required all the time, although that sim at DFW is a little worse than the aircraft in reality.
