Questions from a CC wannabe

Hi I've just got questions that airlines really don't answer. I want to work as a CC in the future for a while and am wondering if some longhaul FA's could write a bit about the whole experience, (stopovers, airport, flight) etc and perhaps mention pay, promotion opportunities, application process etc. Airlines I find particularly interesting are Emirates, BA, Virgin, Qantas, Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian and SAS + Qatar Airways.
